It would make sense for me to tell you that I trained to become a therapist because I like helping people, which is true, but it runs much deeper than that for me.
I have been in and out of therapy and mental health services since the age of 13, therefore I know what it is like to sit in that client chair. I also know what it feels like to be stuck in a revolving door of temporary treatments and hopelessness. I had seen multiple therapists before I found my private therapist as a requirement of my education and training. The time I spent with my chosen therapist quite literally transformed my life.
I became a therapist ultimately because I want to show my clients the same kindness, compassion, and genuine care that my therapist showed me. I endeavor to show up to our sessions as my most authentic, unapologetic, imperfect self, and hope that I can encourage you to do the same. My approach is therefore slightly more laid back (it's rare you'll see me in a cardigan!) as therapy shouldn't feel like a chore.
Education
I have a BSc in Mental Health Psychology and an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy - so I've spent a long time in education enhancing my theoretical skills and knowledge which I can share with you during sessions.
Experience
I have almost a decade of working in various mental health services, such as inpatient hospitals and community services as a Care Coordinator, Mental Health Practitioner, Honorary Assistant Psychologist, Team Leader and Clinical Supervisor. My professional experiences have enriched my theoretical training, which allows me to adapt my approach depending on my clients needs. It also enables me to work with more complex mental health presentations, in a safe, containing, trauma-informed way. Whilst I am confident in my abilities to support those in acute crisis, I am also able to provide life-changing support to anyone who needs a safe space to talk.
Approach
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) (which might not mean much to those outside of my profession!) but in summary means I follow a set code of ethics and professionalism, so you can rest assured that I practice to the highest levels of educational content, professional commitments, and morals.
I have developed a passion for working with clients around areas of attachment, trauma, relational difficulties, and complex emotional needs.

What is Attachment Therapy & Why It Matters
Your attachment style is the unconscious way you relate to others - often shaped by your early relationships. These patterns usually develop in childhood and carry through into adulthood, influencing how safe, connected, or distant you feel in relationships.
You might have heard of the different attachment styles, including:
As an adult in my 20's, I have undergone hours of my own personal therapy, to better understand why my experiences have shaped the way I think about myself, others, and the world around me. I was stuck in a cycle of self loathing, entering relationships with people who didn't value me, and felt hopeless that things would or could get better.
My personal experiences have led me to having a keen interest in working primarily with adults in their late 20's to 40's, around topics of trauma, anxious attachments, relationships, unhelpful patterns of coping, and emotion regulation. All of these topics interlink in some way, but the basis of my work is to help you make ACTUAL, POSITIVE change towards becoming the best version of yourself, whilst living authentically, and processing all of the sh*t you were (or were not) taught during your childhood.
Why Attachment matters in therapy:
Understanding your attachment style helps you:
In therapy, we gently explore these patterns — not to label you, but to give you more clarity and choice in how you relate to others and yourself.
What is Trauma Informed Therapy & Why It Matters
Trauma-informed therapy recognises how past experiences — especially those that were overwhelming, unsafe, or invalidating — can shape the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. You might not always name something as “trauma,” but if you're feeling stuck in cycles of self-blame, emotional shutdown, or hyper-independence, there’s often a deeper story beneath the surface.
This approach isn’t about re-living the past — it’s about creating a safe space to understand it, so it doesn’t keep unconsciously running the show. We work at your pace, with gentleness and curiosity, to process what’s been carried for too long.
My Approach to working with Trauma:
In my own 20s, I began to unpack the lasting effects of my childhood and adolescent experiences that left me feeling hurt, unable to navigate relationships, and fearful of my future.
Trauma work doesn’t have to feel clinical or heavy — it can be relational, gentle, and empowering. We’re not just talking about what happened, but helping you build a deeper connection to your body, emotions, and inner safety.
Why Trauma Informed Therapy Matters:
With the right support, trauma therapy can help you:
You deserve to feel safe in yourself and in your relationships. Let’s work together to get there.
